Hikers For A View

Our group  met every Thursday morning and they  followed a route planned by the leader.  They each brought a  light lunch with a  drink, and they were usually home by 2:00 PM.  I asked the hikers which hike  they had especially enjoyed.    One member said she had enjoyed standing under the Great Blue Heron nests in Stanley Park and watched the parent birds feed their  baby herons.   Several hikers mentioned Kloochman Park as  unusual.  It is approached through a Lighthouse Park neighborhood, and begins with  a very long staircase  down  to a  trail, which then drops several levels as it continues  toward a bluff where we could sit overlooking a small bay.
