Book Discussion

February 2020

The Book Discussion Group will meet on February 12 to discuss Signature of All Things by Elizabeth Gilbert.

September 2019

Our group meets on the second Wednesday of the month at 12:30pm at a  member’s home. Everyone brings a bag lunch and discusses the chosen book. We read books in a wide range of categories – fiction, mysteries, historical, humour, and in fact whatever we collectively decide. Our discussions are lively, entertaining, thoughtful, and fun.
We had our first meeting on September 11th. After a brief discussion of the book, Home for Unwanted Girls (our summer read), we selected some books for the coming year. Our October book is the very gripping
novel, The Children’s Act by Ian McEwan – which is the story of a family
court judge facing a crisis in her own marriage while making a life and
death decision about whether to force a teenaged boy to have
transfusion even though it would violate his religious convictions.
We certainly welcome new members.
