On Monday, November 29th, 2021, as a fundraiser for the UBC FWC Childcare Bursary, Dr Wade Davis will be speaking on his latest book, “Magdalena, River of Dreams: A Story of Colombia.” A UBC Professor of Anthropology, and the BC Leadership Chair in Cultures and Ecosystems at Risk, Wade Davis is highly accomplished in his cultural anthropological research and authorship, a member of the Order of Canada, an honorary citizen of Colombia and a renowned photographer He is one of the most articulate and influential western advocates for the world’s indigenous cultures.
The lecture will be held at the UBC Frederic Wood Theatre, with doors opening at 6:15pm. Please come to the lecture presentation, invite your friends and family, and pass this event information on to all you know.
